RULES, GUIDELINES AND BASIC INFO
- Any performer who misses or is late for his or her set will be disqualified from the competition.
- All performers must sign a waiver before being allowed to participate.
- Any racial remarks (of any kind), physical contact during the competition (deemed aggressive) will result in immediate disqualification and possible repayment of damages.
- Names will be drawn at random to determine order of performance
Competition breakdown
- The PRODUCER competition will consist of an opening round where each competitor will be given 2 minutes and 15 seconds in 45 second intervals to play 3 (three) original beats over the allotted time.
- From this the top 8 will be paired off for head to head battles
- In the head to head comp each pair will split four minutes and 30 seconds of time in the following manner
Performer a – 45 seconds
Performer b – 45 seconds
Performer a – 45 seconds
Performer b – 45 seconds
Performer a – 45 seconds
Performer b – 45 seconds
Additional rounds may be added at the judges’ discretion
- Head to head battles will continue until the top two competitors remain who will move on to the finals
